Some weeks are filled with accomplishments. Others are filled with healing.
This week was definitely the second one.
๐ฉบ Doctor Update
I had my one week post visit this past Thursday – the doctor was very pleased with how it was looking. I did discovered that I have 39 stitches all together! OY! I have transitioned from split to “boot” that I have to keep on 2/47 until I see him on the 7th to remove the stitches. Recovery continues one day at a time. I’m still non-weight-bearing and learning to be patient with the healing process. While I wish I could do more, I’m reminding myself that rest is part of the work right now.

๐จ Cropoberfest Planning
Even from the couch, I spent some time working on Cropoberfest which normally happens in October. I am working on possibly setting up an ONLINE ZOOM Craft Day on a Saturday in October. Reach out to me via email if this is something you may be interested in.

๐ป Life Beyond the Craft Table
I also spent time giving my Life blog a fresh start by reorganizing categories and thinking about the direction I want it to go. I’m excited to share more personal stories and reflections there in the weeks ahead. You can visit if it you’d like to hear things that are NOT related to Craft – it is at https://www.jeniferbenner.com/life
๐ Personal Reflection
This week reminded me that healing isn’t just physical.
It’s learning to accept help when I’d rather do everything myself.
It’s celebrating small victories.
It’s giving myself permission to slow down without feeling guilty.
Sometimes progress doesn’t look productiveโit simply looks like healing.
Looking Ahead
My goal for next week is simple:
๐ฆถ Continue healing.
๐ต Write more on my Life blog.
๐จ Find projects to create when I get back to the craft table.
๐ Give myself grace as I recover.
