About Me

Hi, I’m Jen — a small-town Deaf creator with a big heart, a deep love for connection, and an endless curiosity about the little things that make life beautiful.

If you’ve followed me at The ASL Craft Table with The Jenifer Benner, you already know me as the lady with inky fingers, cozy vibes, and a mischievous white boxer named Diesel. But this corner of the internet is a little different. This is where I share life beyond the craft table — the quiet mornings, the messy middles, the family stories, and the everyday moments that don’t always fit into a tutorial or livestream.

ICreativity has been a constant in my life since 2002, taking me through seasons of scrapbooking, card-making, chalk art, and more. These days, my crafting life lives mostly in my business blog, but you’ll still see it peek through here — because creativity tends to sneak into everything I do.

When I’m not crafting, I’m probably reading (300+ books a year when the mood strikes), jotting thoughts in my journal, or working on one of the many ideas that seem to follow me around like little fireflies.

This blog is my softer, slower place. It’s where I reflect, share stories, and open the door to conversations that matter — in ASL, with heart, and always with room at the table for you.

So, welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Pull up a chair, pour yourself some sweet tea, and let’s talk about life beyond the craft table.
