Week in Review: Healing, Planning & Looking Ahead | August 22, 2026

Hi friends!

Here’s your Week in Review — a cozy little recap…. 💛

This week wasn’t filled with lots of finished projects, but it was full of quiet times and a lot of thinking. Sometimes the biggest progress happens behind the scenes.

💙 Recovery

Recovery continued one day at a time.

Resting with Diesel everyday while Ashton went back to school this week for 5th grade!

I had an appointment on Tuesday because my cast was rubbing hard on my ankle so they took it off. Doctor decided to put in me in a boot instead. SO NO MORE CAST!!! Still am listening to what to do – STAY OFF MY FOOT 100%. So I will have PT in about 2-3 weeks.

One thing made me laugh is before surgery; I brought up many crafts because I thought I’d be sitting at the table crafting a lot .. NOPE. My foot has another plan; the pain was crazy but is doing much better. I do still hurt here and there, but not bad as first two weeks.

✂️ Creative Life

Even though I haven’t been creating many projects, I’ve still been working behind the scenes. Sometimes planning and organizing are just as important as making something.

💻 Behind the Scenes

A big part of this week was looking at the bigger picture of my business.

I spent time reviewing:

The Website
YouTube growth
My email list
LinkDeli and BetterLinks
Instead of asking, “Should I keep doing this?” I found myself asking, “How can I make this even better?”

One thing I’ve been thinking about is… what happens if Facebook goes down or isn’t working? Would everyone know where to find me?

My website and YouTube are places I control, but my email list is the most important. It gives me a way to stay connected with everyone no matter what happens on social media.

🌱 Looking Ahead

Next week I hope to:

Continue healing.
Create more projects and videos.
Keep building my website and YouTube channel.

❤️ Reflection

This week reminded me that not every week will be busy or exciting—and that’s okay.

Not every week has to be measured by how much you create.

Sometimes progress looks like healing.

Sometimes progress looks like planning.

And sometimes progress simply means trusting the process, one day at a time. 💙
